Protecting Our Students Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status
Las Vegas, NV – Protecting Our Students is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Protecting Our Students are fully tax-deductible. Protecting Our Students is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve the K-12 schools across the nation.
“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major milestone for Protecting Our Students,” remarked President and Co-founder Robert Jordan. “This opens many doors for us to expand fundraising activities and fully realize our goals as a charitable organization invested in merging school gun safety and security into a standardized policy that can be applied uniformly to K-12 schools, keeping our children safe at our schools across the nation.”
Protecting Our Students exists to reduce and end gun violence in schools by implementing the POSSafetyNet℠ Assessment and Certification program. We are dedicated to putting an end to the era of school shootings that weighs on a generation of American students.
The Protecting Our Students Tax Identification Number (EID) is 84-2441012. The IRS letter granting Protecting Our Students its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is available upon request. Donation inquiries can be sent to donations@protectingourstudents.org.
